Redgum Perpetual Trophy for Best Documentary 2006
Competition Rules

The competition is open to any film maker who is a financial member of any club affiliated with the Federation of Australian Movie Makers Ltd. Check for your local club Documentaries or docudramas may be on any subject up to 30 minutes in length.
Each year a theme will be determined by the promoters to be included in the following year’s competition. (i.e. red umbrella, green pencil, older person etc.) The theme for the following year will be announced at the Redgum Award Presentations in the preceding year.
THEME FOR 2006 - "GOLDEN FINGER"
The awards will be presented at a suitable function in September/October each year together with the viewing of a large selection of entries.
The makers of all documentaries or docudramas accepted into the competition receive written comments from the judging panel and a certificate. The diploma award categories, in ascending order, are Bronze, Silver and Gold.
The film judged to be the best production in the competition will be announced at the Redgum Awards Presentation and awarded the Redgum Perpetual Trophy for Best Documentary. Other entries may be awarded a Diploma of Merit for Story, Animation; Use of Sound; Editing; Acting; Humour or Photography.
In addition to the Redgum Perpetual Trophy, diplomas and certificates, each successful entrant may be given a personal discount card (valid for one year) for use at Provisual Australia, Water Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Queensland. The Redgum Perpetual Trophy winner will also be awarded a two hundred dollar ($200) discount on any item purchased from Provisual Australia.
Prize offers may change or other prizes may be determined by the sponsors or promoters, at their discretion, from time to time.
Note: Certain awards may not be awarded where, in the opinion of the Judges, there is no deserving entry.
